However, we do not wish to discourage other interested parties from attending ADVANCE events. Our lectures (link) are generally open to the public. Professional Development Lunches

CU-ADVANCE Networking Lunches are designed to increase opportunities for collaboration and interdisciplinary networking among women faculty in the physical sciences, life sciences, social sciences and engineering. Networking lunches are from 11:30-1:30, with speakers beginning at 12:00.

Linda Putnam: "Communication and Conflict Resolution"
Dr. Putnam's recent research analyzes conflict framing in multiparty environmental disputes, especially in the ways that different stakeholders make sense of complex, seemingly intractable conflicts. She is a professor in the Department of Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara

The Annual Robert L. Harris, Jr., ADVANCEments in Science Lecture featuring Madeline Heilman, Department of Psychology, New York University. Heilman's current research is on gender stereotypes and how they bias evaluations of women in work settings.
